Currently there are 20 Crime Watch neighborhoods around Campbell County.  The twenty-first will be at Melvin Hollow.   The Stinking Creek community hosts the next Crime Watch meeting on Thursday evening at 7 pm at the Friendship Community Church on Melvin Hollow.

Campbell County Sheriff Robbie Goins will speak to and visit with residents of Melvin Hollow tomorrow at the gathering.  He points to Crime Watch groups for successfully helping their communities/neighborhoods work with local law enforcement to crackdown on crime and report suspicious activity.

The sheriff will help your neighborhood or community form a Crime Watch group.  All you need to do is call 423.562.8095.

Goins and his staff work to keep new Crime Watch signs posted.  He says that anyone looking to prey on a community or neighborhood takes notice of new signs as opposed to passing right on by old, rusty leaning signs.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/24/2018-6AM)
