The August 2018 election saw a record turnout in Early Voting.  The new record is 5,269.  Through  Wednesday, Early Voting is at the mid-way point of the 14-day opportunity to vote early.  If as many Campbell Countians vote the next seven days of Early Voting as did the first seven, we’ll have another new Early Voting record.

It’s been an active Early Voting season since it began on Wednesday, October 17,  at the Campbell County Election Commission Office.Administrator of Elections Ann Ayers-Colvin breaks down the numbers:

Wednesday, October 17:  400

Thursday, October 18:  386

Friday, October 19:  514

Saturday, October 20:  168

Monday, October 22:  443

Tuesday, October 23:  430

Wednesday, October 24:  385

That totals to 2,726 early votes.

Early Voting hours Thursday are:  9 am to 4 pm at the Election Commission Office at Jacksboro and 9 am until 2 pm at the Municipal Building in Jellico.
