A mobile home on Pine Mountain Road was totally destroyed by fire.   No one was injured in the fire that began just before 10:30 pm Tuesday night.  According to E-911 Dispatch, the home was fully involved when the call came in to the call center.  Firefighters with the Jellico Rescue Squad first responded followed soon to the scene by firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service (CCRFS).

The home was located between Stinking Creek and I-75’s Exit 156, Rarity Mountain.

CCRFS Assistant Chief Daniel Lawson tells WLAF that free smoke alarms are available for Campbell County residents.  Lawson says, “All it takes is a phone call for one of our firefighters to come out to your home and install a new smoke alarm.   At no charge.”  The number to call to request an alarm and installation is 423-563-9983.  Just provide your name, address, and phone number, and a fire department representative will then contact you to schedule a time for the installation.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/31/2018-6AM)
