Early this morning, November 7, around 6:30 am, The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Special Weapons and Tactics Team executed a narcotics search warrant on a houseboat located at Powell Valley Marina.  It was the home-on-the-lake of 41-year old Jeff Hassler and 53-year old Connie Hassler.   Sheriff’s Office Investigators recently investigated complaints of the sale of narcotics in the Powell Valley area of Campbell County.  The investigation led them to execute a narcotics search warrant on the waters of Norris Lake.  Investigators conducted several undercover methamphetamine purchases from different individuals in the area prior to the execution of the search warrant.

Sheriff’s Office Investigators collected evidence such as several digital scales for weighing narcotics and countless items used to package methamphetamine for resale, along with other paraphernalia.  Campbell County Sheriff Robbie K. Goins stated, “To enforce drug crimes, you have to adapt to what the criminals are doing. This investigation led us to the water, so that’s where we were this morning.”

This is an ongoing investigation and will continue. Individuals involved will be facing several charges including multiple counts of the sell and delivery of a schedule II controlled substance.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/07/2018-10:45AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF THE CCSD)
