“Interior lights, exterior lights and parking lot lights for all Campbell County Schools will be replaced with new LED bulbs in 2019,” said  Jennifer Fields, director of schools.  Some school parking lots currently have no lights burning at all but soon will, she said.

On Thursday afternoon at the Campbell County Central Office at Jacksboro, representatives from TRANE and the Campbell County School System gathered to lay ground work for the project that’s expected to be completed by July 1, 2019.  This is Phase II of a plan started in 2012, Phase I, that through 2017 had saved Campbell County Schools more than $500,000 in energy savings; more than was guaranteed.

The TRANE team is very familiar with Campbell County Schools after working with it on Phase I.

The new undertaking is an investment of $1.5 million with an annual savings of $120,000.  It’s a 100 percent  loan with guaranteed savings on the annual investment making it budget neutral.  The objective is to save even more money with Phase II being paid for by the savings.  If there is a difference in the dollars, TRANE pays the difference.

Fields bragged on George Grant with CC Schools.  “He has overseen Phase I, and will Phase II, and that it has been his expertise that has driven the savings beyond expectations,” Fields said.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/16/2018-6AM)
