Veteran artist Gale Hinton’s mural creations at Valley View Elementary School will be showcased later this morning.

In a 10:30 am ceremony, the 75-year old Hinton will be recognized with a plaque for the artwork that she started and completed over the holiday break at the school.  Hinton has been creating murals for 50-years, and her latest piece is a 45-foot mural that includes the Valley View Bobcat mascot and the other piece of work being the entire cafeteria muraled with farm scenes inspired by the valley.   These works were done for the students to provide a greater atmosphere of community and school pride.

The murals took 11 days to complete.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/08/2019 – 6AM)
