Mr. Fred Earl “Red” Harrison, age 89 of Caryville, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019.  He was a former member of Coolidge First Baptist Church and currently a member of Caryville First Baptist Church.  He was a very well known and highly accomplished musician, playing his signature instrument, the upright bass.  Over the years Red had a great opportunity to play music all around the U.S. and even internationally with names big and small.  Most recently he played with the house band at Rickard Ridge BBQ at Cove Lake.  Preceded in death by Wife, Rose Lee Wilma Kathleen Harrison, Son, James William “Billy” Harrison, Parents, William Harvey and Dicie Lawson Harrison, and several Brothers and Sisters.
Survivors:  Daughters, Sharon King and husband, Rev. Danny King, Earlean “Charlie” Ramsay and husband, Martin Ramsay; Nine Grandchildren, Jeremiah King, Zachariah King, Sarepta Bailey, Thad King, Mary Fernandez, Mark, Luke, John Paul, and Joseph Ramsay; Twenty Great-Grandchildren; many dear Nieces, Nephews, and a special Brotherhood of musician friends.
Funeral Services Friday 7 P.M. at Jacksboro First Baptist Church with Rev. W. H. “Sonny” Longmire, Rev. Danny King, and Martin Ramsay officiating.  Family and friends will meet Saturday 10 A.M. at Powell Valley Cemetery & Memorial Gardens for graveside services and interment.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.  Friday before services.  Online condolences for Mr. Harrison may be made at www.waltersfuneralhome.net.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Fred Earl “Red” Harrison.
