The Town of Jacksboro hereby gives notice of a public hearing and the completion and closeout of the 2016 CDBG Dog Creek Sewer Trunkline I/I Improvement and CJUC Main Pump Station at Elkins Road (Edison Contract # 52982). The public hearing will inform the citizens regarding the program guidelines, the amount of funds used for the respective improvements and the benefits received by the citizens of the Town of Jacksboro and other citizens within the CJUC Service Area.

 

The Town has processed the final payment request from Norris Brothers Excavators, the contractor for the I/I Improvements and applicable release of liens on or about February 15, 2018.   The replacement of the CJUC’s main pump station at Elkins Road has been performed through force account provided by the Caryville-Jacksboro Utilities Commission’s (CJUC) staff.  Any person, supplier, laborer, or any other party having claims against the contractor or CJUC should mail written documentation to Mr. Franklin D. Wallace, with the Caryville-Jacksboro Utilities Commission, P. O. Box 121, Jacksboro, and TN 37757 within ten days of the date of this notice published January 10, 2019.

The public hearing will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 3:00 PM at the Town of Jacksboro Municipal Building, 585 Main Street, Jacksboro, TN, which time the project will be closed-out subject to any documented claims.  The meeting is open to the public and area citizens are encouraged to attend.
