A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Tuesday.  Accumulating snow is expected.

After a Monday of sunshine and temps in the 50s, Campbell County weather takes a dramatic change overnight as rain develops after midnight Tuesday and changes to all snow by 4 am Tuesday morning.  Once Monday’s high begins cooling Monday evening, temperatures keep falling through the 20s on Tuesday, along with bitter wind chills, all the way down to a low of 17 Tuesday night.  In the meantime, snow accumulation totals will range from an inch up to three inches.

Wednesday brings a partly sunny day with a high of 24.  Wednesday night’s low chills to six above accompanied by wind chills from zero to ten below.  Temperatures begin moderating by Thursday.

Once temperatures go below freezing on Monday night, they do not climb above freezing until late Friday morning.  Friday’s high is expected to hit 44-degrees.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/28/2019-6AM)
