The district tournament opens for Jellico this week; last night for the Lady Blue Devils and tonight for the Blue Devils.

Monday night at Lindsay Gym, the Lady Blue Devils of Jellico opened up their 2-A district basketball tournament at home against the Lady Pirates of Washburn and lost 58 – 50.  The loss ends the Lady Blue Devils season as Sarah Moses led the way with 17 points, 13 in the first half.

The Jellico Blue Devils open their district tourney slate tonight at 7 pm at home.  The Washburn Pirates make the 80-mile trip from Grainger County to take on Jellico in 2-A action.  Jellico handily won both regular season meetings.
