It was the right place at the right time for Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck and Campbell County Sheriff Robbie Goins (in top photo).

Around 1:30 pm Tuesday, Dilbeck happened upon a van stalled in deep water on Paradise Lane at Paradise Cove.  By chance, the sheriff drove up moments later.

The pair helped two young women and two children out of their van and into the back of Dilbeck’s truck (above).  Dilbeck said that the four people raised the hatch of the van and walked out and onto the tailgate of the pick-up.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/27/2019-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF GARY CORDELL WITH THE CCSD)
