Concerned citizens of opening streets to ATVs were present for Thursday’s Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting again.    In January, Travis Shelton read a prepared statement to the board that requested opening streets inside the town to ATVs.  He also had a petition he presented to the board with signatures of citizens who were in agreement with him. Mayor June Forstner told the audience last month that the board was working on the issue. Shelton and others were back Thursday night for an update on the issue. At Thursday’s meeting, Forstner told the group that no action would be taken on opening the town’s roads to ATVs.

Ordinance #119 had its final reading, changing the fee for a parking ticket from $3 to $25 per offense.

The board approved the purchase of a new set of turn out gear for the fire department at a cost of $2,800. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/11/2019-6AM)
