Just before 9:30 pm Thursday night, the call of a car over an embankment on its top sent First Responders to Old Jacksboro Pike in La Follette.   The driver of a silver sedan left the four lane (Jacksboro Pike) and went over the bank in front of Lyk-Nu Auto Collision and Service Center on Old Jacksboro Pike.  Officials said that it landed on its top hitting a parked car in the process.

Old Jacksboro Pike had to be shutdown for the better part of an hour.  The driver, 51-year old Gary Campbell of Jacksboro, and his passenger walked away from the crash.  The La Follette Police Department placed Campbell under arrest, according to jail officials.

The La Follette Fire Department, La Follette Fire Department and Campbell County EMS responded.

Campbell remains housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning facing multiple charges including DUI (driving under the influence) and violation of the implied consent law.   (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/14/2019-9:40PM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF LFD ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF JIMMY PACK – UPDATE 10PM – UPDATED 03/15/2019-2:45AM)
