A spring-like day brings spring-like results, and that means the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms looms tonight here in Campbell County.     After a mostly cloudy, very mild and windy day, with highs in the lower 70s, there is a very slight chance of rain and possibly a stray thunderstorm late this afternoon and into the evening.  However, the greater threat for rough weather is later tonight.

Any time after 9 pm Thursday, until around 2 am on Friday morning, is the predicted time frame for strong to severe storms.  It appears that this line of rocky weather will move quickly through Campbell County.  Damaging winds, brief heavy rainfall and localized flooding are the main threats from the stronger storms, and a localized tornado cannot be ruled out.
