Tonight is College/Career/STEM night at La Follette Middle School.  “We have 200 students pre registered to attend.  Parents are invited, too,” LMS School Counselor Linda Prim said.

Prim (L) has a special visitor today at LMS to help promote tonight’s College and Career Night.  Mario is encouraging students to break down learning barriers and take learning to the next level.

These events are being led by members of the community including TCAT presenting information on its Pharmacy Tech and Motor Sports programs, Dr. Jenni Hubbard from La Follette Veterinary Services, GEAR UP with Monica Bane, three teachers from CCHS explaining their programs (Cosmetology, Welding and STEM) and much more.

The afternoon/evening begins at LMS with dinner in the cafeteria at 4:45 pm followed by a general session in the auditorium starting at 5:35 pm.  The first session is 6 pm followed by the second session at 6:25 pm and the final session of the evening starts at 6:50 pm and runs until the end of the event at 7:10 pm.

The evening’s destinations will feature information about various careers that include activities filled with challenge, diversity, excitement, laughter and barrels of fun.

The event is sponsored by the faculty and staff of La Follette Middle School.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/19/2019-6AM-PHOTO COURTESY OF LMS PRINCIPAL JOEY ST. JOHN)
