Last week, it was the Criminal Court Clerk’s Office.  This week, it’s the Sheriff’s Department that someone is impersonating to hook and crook you out of some money.    Sheriff Robbie Goins cautions you that a scammer is making phone calls to Campbell Countians soliciting funds.  The Sheriff wants you to know that his department does not call for any kind of money request whether it be for a contribution or a fine.  Goins encourages you to “just hang up” if you receive such a call; regardless of what number and/or name is showing up on your caller ID.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/08/2019-5:45PM)
