A NARCAN training session is scheduled for today at Campbell County High School.

NARCAN is the brand name for a drug called naloxone that blocks the effects of an opioid.  Opioids, in high doses, can slow down breathing and heart rate to the point of oxygen deprivation.

It’s an opportunity to learn how to safely administer NARCAN and receive a free kit.  No personal information is required, and this training session is free to anyone concerned about a family member or friend.

NARCAN training is April 9, today, at 5:30 pm in the CCHS Library.
