Wednesday was a big day for Campbell County High School Senior Samantha Lasley.

Lasley (front row, center) is surrounded by her family and coaches as she signs with LMU.

She signed her letter of intent to finish out her academic career at Lincoln Memorial University. She will study nursing at LMU, which has been rated as one of the best nursing programs in the nation. She will play soccer as well. Lasley doesn’t intend to run track which she also competed in at CCHS.

During yesterday’s ceremony, she was joined by her teammates from both the track and soccer teams.  Her parents, Ronnie and Sherry,  were present along with head LMU coach, Derrick Lubell.

Samantha comes by her athletic ability naturally.  Her father, Ronnie, starred in football at Jacksboro High School and Maryville College.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/11/2019- 6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF DAVID GRAHAM)
