For the past 10 years, Charlotte “Sissy” Wilson has served Campbell County as an EMT with the ambulance service. Wilson now needs her community to help her.

In February, Wilson was diagnosed with lymphoma/leukemia and is currently awaiting a bone marrow transplant at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.  She will need to remain in Nashville for several weeks, if not months, after the transplant.

To help with her expenses during this time, a benefit singing will be held on Saturday, May 4 at 6pm, at Central Baptist Church at Caryville. The Adkins Trio along with Beech Fork Church, Central Baptist Church, High Street Baptist Church and Big Mountain Church singers will perform.

Prior to the singing, there will be homemade soups, sandwiches and desserts served in the church fellowship hall beginning at 4:30pm. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/29/2019-6AM)
