As the weather warms, weekend events are being scheduled at a popular summer venue, Mountain Heritage Field.

Mountain Heritage Community Club has announced its summer events schedule beginning in June with a rodeo. On June 14 and 15 Diamond S Rodeo will be held at the Mountain Heritage Field.

For the month of July, the first annual dirt drag will be held on July 13. Gates will open at 4pm and the event starts at 6pm. Admission for ages 13 and up is $10; 6-12 is $5 and children 5 and under are free. Classes will be ATVs, side by sides, motorcycle and trucks. The entry fee is $20 with 100 percent payback. On Aug. 31, the Miss Mountain Heritage Natural Beauty Pageant will be held from noon to 2 pm. Pre-rehearsal will be held the day prior to the pageant. This an all-natural beauty pageant with five age groups, wee princess, six months to three years old, princess, four to six years old, lil miss, seven to 10 years old, junior miss, 11 to 13 years old and Miss Mountain Heritage, 14 to 18 years old. The title of Miss Mountain Heritage Ambassador Queen will be awarded to the winner of the most donated clothing items for the Yellow Dress Foundation. The 49th annual Mountain Heritage Festival will be held Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
