Jim Robinson, a former “Tennessee Environmentalist of the Year” recipient, started Earth Day as well as the recycling program at Valley View School years ago.

Though on this Earth Day celebration today, it was the first Earth Day he has missed in the history of the program at the valley school.  VVES Principal Jason Doton said, “The beloved Robinson was injured in a motorcycle accident last week and could not make today’s Earth Day Celebration.  However, we carried on in his honor just like he wanted.”

Dotson adds that Robinson continues recovering at a Knoxville hospital.   (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/03/2019-11AM)
