On Saturday, Officer Billy Lowe with the Caryville Police Department saw a car fail to stop at a stop sign coming from Cemetery Road onto Hwy 116 near JR’s Tires.     Lowe then proceeded to observe the driver, Keana Dickson, traveling at 65 miles per hour in a 45 MPH speed zone. The officer then conducted a routine traffic stop. Once making contact with Dickson, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the car.  Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Travis Bostic and K-9 Officer Santo were also on scene to help assist with the stop.

After searching the vehicle, Officer Lowe confiscated around 6.8 ounces of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in various locations inside the vehicle.
