A Jacksboro man was arrested after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Crabtree recently responded to a call on Jay Lane about an alleged domestic dispute where a man had pushed a woman through a window. He was allegedly threatening her with a knife, according to the report from the sheriff’s department. When Crabtree arrived, he eventually arrested Charles Daniel Savage. Three knives along with a blunt force object were taken from Savage prior to his arrest.

The victim was very upset and crying when Crabtree spoke with her. She said Savage came back to her house after leaving, and his wrists were bleeding. The woman went on to say that he then came in and became very belligerent and began cussing her, and that he then pushed her through a window. At this point Savage allegedly began choking her saying “I’m going to kill you, I want to kill you.” She was able to get him off of her, and then he took her phone away from her, so she couldn’t call the police. Savage reportedly began choking her again. Crabtree found a window that was busted, and the victim had red marks under her chin and on her neck.

The 40-year- old Savage lists 208 Bowman Dr., LaFollette as his address and is charged with aggravated assault by domestic violence and attachment child support.  Savage remains housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning on a $95,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court again on May 23.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/09/2019-6AM)
