Noah Lee Hatfield met Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy John Minor recently; then he went to jail.

Minor was dispatched to Towe String Road about a possible stolen vehicle. He got behind the allegedly stolen truck on Towe String Road that was driven by Hatfield

Hatfield pulled into a driveway on Towe String Road where Minor knew the resident that lived there and knew the vehicle did not belong there. When Minor spoke with Hatfield, he admitted he didn’t have driver’s license, according to a report from the sheriff’s department. Hatfield was then asked about the strong smell of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, and allegedly admitted “he had smoked a joint inside the vehicle.” Minor asked if Hatfield had any narcotics inside the vehicle, and Hatfield allegedly said “he may have a roach in there somewhere.” Minor looked in the back seat of the truck and saw a clear bottle tucked inside the compartment on the back of the passenger seat that appeared to have heroine in it located inside a small clear bag.

Hatfield, 19, 1116 West Forrest St., LaFollette is charged with violation of probation, driving while suspended and possession of schedule I controlled substance.  This was Hatfield’s seventh arrest.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/10/2019-6AM)
