James Wayne Bridges, age 36 of Rocky Top was born on January 26, 1983 in Bremerton, Washington. He was a welder by profession and loved playing basketball with his friends. James was of the Baptist Faith and departed this life on May 20, 2019. The loving son of Becky Bridges of Rocky Top and Mickey and Tammy Bridges of Speedwell. He is a graduate of Anderson County High School. He is preceded in death by grandparents Rev. Willie and Ella Mae Duncan and Harvey Bridges. He is survived by stepdaughter Lily Avison of Clinton, brother Shane Bridges and Shannon of Lenoir City, sister Serina and Jimmy Raines of Jacksboro and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 8:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2019 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Duncan and Rev. Ronald Lambert officiating.

Family and Friends will meet on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City to go in procession to the Mountain View Cemetery on Vowell Mountain in Lake City for James’ 10:00 AM graveside service.
