JACKSBORO, TN  (WLAF) – The first Campbell County Sheriff’s Academy is winding down, and it has been a success.

With the graduation set for this evening, Sheriff Robbie Goins is more than pleased with the outcome.

“We had a great turn out and some exceptional students,” he said.

Within the classes, the participants learned the inner workings of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office from the ground up.

The first night introduced the class to the booking procedures at the county jail. From there, they learned about traffic stops, how to work a murder scene and learned to shoot a gun.

“Overall, this academy has been a success. Our department was able to educate the community on the procedures we use and introduce them to some of operations,” Goins said. “We will be hosting another one soon.”  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/30/2019-6AM)
