JACKSBORO, TN  (WLAF) – Sheriff Robbie K. Goins states at this time several roads are closed.

After speaking with Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck of the Campbell County Highway Department, we ask you to please avoid Demory Rd. as it is closed at High Knob Rd. to S. High Knob.  There are several trees across the road as well as rock slides.  S. High Knob is closed at the bridge due to flooding. These areas will be reopened once live electric lines that are down have been disconnected so the crews can safely clear the roadway.

Long Hollow Rd. from the La Follette city limits to Coolidge Rd. Is currently closed and crews are working that area and expect it to be cleared.

Glade Springs is still not passable

Cedar Creek Rd. from Owens Grocery to the Deerfield Community is now passable.

Sheriff Goins asks if you are traveling to any of these communities to please avoid these areas as the Campbell County Highway Department and Deputies of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office work to clear roadways.

You can reach all of these communities by detouring to Back Valley Rd. to Davis Chapel Rd. and Coolidge Rd. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/08/2019-4AM)
