LAFOLLETTE, TN., (WLAF)- At 3:30 pm today on Wed.,  an 11- year- old boy was pulled into a storm drain at Sergeant Park in La Follette.  The boy was swept across the street where police officers and first responders were able to pull him from a catch basin.  The boy was playing in or near the water during a heavy rain event when the current caught him and swept him into the storm drain, according to officers on scene . Officers said the boy was conscious and talking to them but was flown to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital as a precautionary measure. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 6/20/19 6 AM)
