CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Harness answered a call last Thursday  when a call was received about a man walking out in the road without shoes.

Harness was able to make contact with Brandon Bohrer on Highway 116. As soon as Harness began speaking with the man, he noticed immediately he had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.  The man allegedly said, in broken sentences, he was going to LaFollette to buy car parts, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

While talking with him, Harness noticed Bohrer was having a hard time articulating complete sentences and had enlarged pupils. When asked again where he was going, Bohrer allegedly said he was headed to LaFollette to buy $200 worth of “dope.” He was then asked if he knew where he was and what day it was. He started to reply but made incoherent statements unrelated to the questions ask.

Bohrer, 20, 222 Herron Lane, Caryville was arrested and is charged with public intoxication. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/10/2019-6AM)
