JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – School Board Appreciation Week is celebrated all this week across Tennessee.  Campbell County Director of Schools Jennifer Fields extends her appreciation in a letter to the members of the Campbell County Board of Education.January 27, 2020

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our school board members for giving of their time to serve the community.

As a member of the board, you help make decisions that have a tremendous impact on our children’s future and the community’s quality of life.  You show a tremendous commitment to our community by balancing work and school board activities such as meetings and events.

School board membership is one of the most demanding forms of public service.  Each of you spend countless hours preparing for and participating in monthly meetings.  You also devote a great deal of time to studying education issues and laws and listening to the concerns of parents, teachers and community members.  In fact, you are never completely “off the job” as board members.

School Board Appreciation Week is being celebrated January 27-31, 2020 throughout Tennessee.  I want to thank you for the important role you play in helping take care of our community’s children.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Fields

Director of Schools
