JELLICO, TN (WLAF)- Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy John Minor went to Duff on Saturday to answer a call about a man threatening harm.

When Minor arrived, he talked to the alleged victim.
The man said Charles Matthew Rose was at an abandoned residence across the road the night prior burning items. The victim told Minor that Rose had come to his residence during the night and banged on the door. He further alleged that Rose had kept him up most of the night prior making noise across the street at the abandoned house.
When the victim told Rose he couldn’t stay at the abandoned house, the man allegedly got angry and began cussing him, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.
The victim and Rose exchanged words to the point Rose threatened to go get a gun, the report said. At this point, the victim went back to his residence and called police.
When Minor was talking to the victim, he saw Rose leaving the residence and ordered him to stop. After Rose was handcuffed, Minor checked the abandoned house and could see damage where the copper wiring was being stripped out of the walls. He also noticed a fire at the rear of the residence where that had household items such as wooden furniture burning in it.
Rose, 55, homeless, Jacksboro is charged with criminal trespassing, vandalism and threatening bodily harm.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED -1/29/20- 6AM)
