FINCASTLE, TN (WLAF) – A 2.7 magnitude earthquake hit Fincastle in the lunch hour today according to the United States Geological Survey.
At 12:33 pm is when the quake was recorded. It was located 2 1/2 miles East Northeast of Fincastle with a depth of 21.6 miles.
Earthquakes were recorded three-straight days in January on the 19th, 20th and 21st at Fincastle. The Sunday reading was a 2.8 with the Tuesday quake at 2.4. But it was the earthquake on Monday, January 20th, that was felt all across the region at 3.8. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 02/12/2020-3PM)
