In the predawn hours of Thursday morning, officers brought out suspect after suspect, one at a time, from what’s being described as a “drug house” at 507 East Prospect Street.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Upwards of 10 people were questioned at an East La Follette home this morning in a predawn drug raid led by the La Follette Police Department.

LPD’s Drug Unit and Special Response Team along with the 8th Judicial Drug Task Force, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and First Responders from the La Follette Fire Department were on scene at 507 East Prospect Street in the darkness of Thursday morning.

In the cold air, as suspects were being escorted from a home at 507 East Prospect Street, you could hear quiet sobbing from some of the suspects.

Captain Steven Wallen with the La Follette Police Department said, “Undercover officers made multiple drug buys at this home over the last few months, and we knew that we’d be dealing with a lot of people is why there is so much support here this morning.”  He added that “the activity that’s been going on at this address has been a real problem for the neighbors.”

“We may be dealing with nine, possibly 10, people who are in this house.  We knew there would be a lot,” said LPD Captain Steven Wallen.

Officers executed the search warrant around 6 am on Thursday morning.  Soon after, one-by-one, officers led suspects from the home, handcuffed them and sat them down on the long front porch that spans the front of the house. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/20/2020-6AM)
