LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Jennifer Vincent, head coach of La Follette Middle School track and field, has planned a fund raiser for Monday, March 9, 2020.
 The  team is hosting a polar plunge at Lonas Young Memorial Park.  Coach Vincent decided on this event after seeing it and its success in her former hometown of Boston.   Each athlete is required to find five sponsors who will donate $10.00.  In exchange for sponsor donations, the kids, along with their coach, will take a plunge in the water.  Funds raised will  help cover the costs of traveling to and from meets.  In addition to travel, monies earned will also be used to assist in the cost of uniforms and shoes.
The Polar Plunge will take place at 5:30 on March 9 for anyone who is interested in attending.  Participants are very excited about this event.  For those who would like to sponsor an athlete for the Polar Plunge or make a donation can contact Jennifer Vincent at jennifer.vincent@ccpstn.net.
