LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Gas prices continue to slide.  The price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is down 20 percent since the first of the year. Drivers are paying $1.80 a gallon this morning compared to $2.26 a gallon on Jan. 1.  That’s 46-cents (20%) less.

The last time prices were near $1.80 was in August 2016 at $1.79 a gallon.  Five years ago, we were paying $2.02 a gallon on St. Patrick’s Day.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/17/2020-6AM)
