Woman injured in tractor accident was to be flown out

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Mixed reports kept First Responders totally misinformed about an afternoon wreck involving an elderly woman and a tractor.

Officials with E-911 Dispatch tell WLAF that at 2:22 pm Wednesday afternoon a call came in that a woman had been thrown from a tractor and down an embankment near Chestnut Stump Road (off Demory Road).

First Responders were delayed in locating the woman due to the mixed reports they were receiving.  A med chopper was planning to land at the White Bridge/Lonas Young Park to airlift the patient to a Knoxville hospital, but it was called off because of deteriorating weather conditions.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/18/2020-3PM-UPDATE 4PM)
