Ricky L. “Rick” Johnson, 59, of Piqua passed away at 6:45 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Hospice Unit at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born September 20, 1960 in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Vibert and Josephine (Hurst) Johnson. He married Terri L. (Smith) Johnson January 20, 1995 in Troy, and she survives.

Other survivors include four sons, Christopher (Christy) Johnson of Jellico, Tennessee, Brandon (Leslie) Johnson of Fort Loramie, Paul (Sarah) Hina of Athens, and John (Maranda) Hina of Piqua; seven grandchildren; his in-laws that loved him like their own, Robert D. and Joy E. Smith of Tipp City; and five sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law that he was very close to.

Rick was a graduate of Jellico High School Class of 1979. He worked as Maintenance at Evenflo for over 34 years. Rick enjoyed being at home and loved to spend time with friends and family. He was a big fan of the Tennessee Volunteers.

Private services will be held at a later date. Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home is serving the family.
