The walk-up window at the Royal Lunch and Billiards dates back to the days of Lawton Wright, longtime cook at the Royal.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The Coronavirus (COVID-19) is forcing us to make changes to continue to enjoy our favorite places.  Local restaurants are using walk-up windows, delivery, drive-thrus and offering carryout.

Don’t miss out on your favorite foods.  Call ahead and make arrangements to still enjoy your go to eatery.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/24/2020-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)

    1. He was always behind the counter and prepped my hot dogs when I frequented the Pool Room.

    2. He actually did cook for quiet a few years. I use to help him look the beans, trying to get everything ready. I have watched him make more hamburgers than I can count. He may not have cooked early on, but he did later in years. A lot of days, he was the only one working behind the counter.
