LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Sheriff’s Sergeant Nathaniel Bostic noticed a vehicle in the parking lot of Indiana Baptist Church on March 25. He saw a male was slumped over behind the wheel of a vehicle and the vehicle’s reverse lights were on. When Bostic made contact with the vehicle, he found Terry Wayne Saunders in the driver’s seat asleep, and the vehicle was not in park, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Department.

Bostic woke Saunders, and he attempted to put the vehicle in park. He was then asked to get out of the car. When asked for identification, Saunders said he did not have any identification. Bostic conducted a check of his license using his name and date of birth. The check revealed Saunders license was revoked for driving while under the influence and that he had four prior convictions.

Saunders, 57, 343 Ridenour Lane, Jacksboro is charged with driving while revoked/suspended (5th offense).  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/02/2020-6AM)
