On Thursday morning, a team of 33 volunteers hit the road delivering a little more than 400 signs to the homes of future high school graduates across the county and beyond.  It was a most unique show of honor during this most unique time in our history.

Katherine Ayers’ daughter Julia was one of the first graduates to be to receive her sign.

CCHS Senior Counselor Katherine Ayers said, “We were all so touched by the positive outpouring of gratitude by students and their families.”

From Rocky Top to Speedwell and from Elk Valley to Demory, signs were posted in yards of seniors.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/17/2020-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF KATHERINE AYERS)

  1. I LOVE THIS…THEY WERE SO UNBLESSED NOT TO GO THRU THEIR NORMAL GRADUATION….VERY PROUD OF WHO EVER DECIDED TO HONOR THE SENIORS THIS YEAR..

  2. I am so proud of those graduating seniors. They have worked so hard the past 12 years for this period in their lives. I hate that the COVID 19 Virous has interrupted the activities in their senior year. I sure hope that they still arrange for them to have a graduation ceremony and prom. I also hate what it has done to many senior athletes, especially when all athletics have been cancelled. Many high school basketball players did not even get to show their senior leadership and talent in the State Tournament. That is ashame. I wish them the best in their future goals. They deserve all the recognition we can give them. God bless them all.

  3. We at Campbell County school Salute the Seniors Broth Jellico High and Campbell County High School for a job well done would like to wish you all the BEST of LUCK in the years to come.. you are all Champs !!!

    1. Congratulations to all graduating seniors at Jellico and Campbell County High School. I wish them all the very best in their upcoming future whether at the college level or in everyday life. I do hate that many did not get to finish their role in athletics as they dreamed due to COVID 19. God bless them all and their families.
