LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – When thunderstorms are in the weather forecast, expect the unexpected.  That’s the case for tonight as storms are in the weather forecast.  However, the worst of the expected storms will likely move in well south of Campbell County.  A few strong to severe storms will be possible tonight mainly across the Southern Plateau, Southeast Tennessee, and extreme Southwest North Carolina, with isolated damaging winds and large hail as the primary threats. In addition, locally heavy rainfall will be possible across the entire area but especially the northern half, which may lead to localized flooding.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/04/2020-6AM)
