CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – The Town of Caryville Library will begin offering curbside delivery as soon as today.

At last night’s Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen monthly meeting, it was decided they would start reopening some of the municipal building today. The lobby will be open for business matters only.  No patrons will be allowed inside the library.  However, requested items will be brought outside.

Mayor Bobby Stooksbury updated the board on the new shed being installed for the fire department. This was done before the last scheduled meeting that had to be cancelled due to COVID-19.  “Appraisals for the Erschell Collins Industrial Park have been completed and the numbers were what we expected,” said Stooksbury.

There was discussion of the Standard Operating Procedure Emergency warning siren.  Fire Chief Eddie Hatmaker told the board when to set off the siren was determined by the National Weather Service, but the fire department oversees setting off the alert as needed.

A first reading of Ordinance No. 2020-01 Annual Operating Budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2020, and ending June 30, 2021, was held.  A second reading will be held at the June meeting.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/12/2020-6AM)
