The bridge in Titus Hollow is closed

PIONEER, TN (WLAF) – As of Thursday in the noon hour, the bridge over Titus Creek on Old Hwy 63 at Caryville is closed for replacement.  There is a detour route going through Titus Hollow over to the Howard Baker Highway (State Hwy 63).

TDOT inspected the bridge over Titus Creek last week.  Officials notified Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck up in the day on Wednesday that the bridge must be closed immediately.  As of 9 am Thursday, the bridge is shutdown and awaits replacement.

Dilbeck currently has Titus Creek bridge approved for construction, and it will be going to bid letting May 28, 2020.  it will be awarded to a contractor to begin construction as quickly as possible.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/15/2020-6AM)
