“We wanted to honor our veterans this weekend,” said Michael Green.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – When Michael Green and his son Tyler heard the annual Memorial Day Ceremony was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they still wanted to come up with a way to show their appreciation to our veterans.  And they did.

Until about dark on Saturday and then again on Sunday and Monday, the Greens will have their tribute on display at the courthouse parking lot.

Michael said, “Tyler and I worked on this 1941 Army truck we bought a couple of years ago.  We totally refurbished it, and thought displaying it with the jeep would be a nice way to say thank you to our veterans.”

Green said that Tyler bought the 1963 Marine jeep.  They also re-did it.

Thank you, Michael and Tyler.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/23/2020-2PM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF MICHAEL GREEN)
