LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Memorial Day has traditionally become a day for us here at WLAF to catch up with one of our local heroes, veterans, and share their story with you.  Sadly, that will not be the case this coming Monday, Memorial Day.Campbell County native and Director of Campbell County Veterans Affairs Kevin Walden announced, “Due to COVID-19, we are going to cancel veteran programs for this Memorial Day weekend The majority of our attendees will be at the most risk, and we would like to make this decision on the side of safety”

“We ask everyone to think of our veterans present and past.  The best way to honor our veterans is to never forget them,” said Walden.  He thanks you for your support and prayers.
