JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- A Zoom bomb interrupted a county meeting on Tuesday prompting  the meeting to be cancelled.

As the Campbell County Board of Education Budget and Finance Committee meeting attempted to begin, via ZOOM, virtual chaos erupted. With the members on screen, various logins, assumed to be from the public, began showing up on the screen as well. With these logins came an auditory assault of graphic rap lyrics accompanied by a visual assault of inappropriate pictures. The faces of the committee ranged from shock to  disbelief as Jason Horne, of the central office staff, worked to disconnect the meeting.

The meeting was cancelled and, as of yet, hasn’t been rescheduled.

On Tuesday, June 9, the board is scheduled to meet for its regular monthly meeting. That will now be held on the lower level of the courthouse at 6 pm on that night instead of on the ZOOM platform.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED- 06/04/2020- 6AM)
