JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Tuesday evening county budget and finance committee meeting was rescheduled for next week due to the lack of a quorum. Eight commissioners were available for the online Zoom meeting, but 10 is needed for a quorum for business to be discussed. The meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 18, at 6 p.m., online via Zoom. At that time, Commissioners will discuss the final funds and line items of the county budget as the fiscal year comes to a close. An end of the year close out meeting to tie up loose ends will be held on Tuesday, June 30 at 6 p.m.
It has not yet been announced when commissioners will be meeting in person at the court house again, but according to officials, the hope is by July.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/10/2020-6AM)
