Walter “Earl” Lewis, Sr., The Tree Doctor, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, June 20, 2020.  Earl was born July 15, 1954 in Covington, Kentucky to the late James Lewis and Beulah Powell Simmons.

He is survived by the love of his life of 22 years, Ann Lewis; sons, Wesley Thrower & wife Keisha of Oneida, Joey Grant & wife Alicia of Rockwood, E.J Lewis of Rockwood; daughters, Daphne Bowens & husband David of LaFollette, Carol Ann Maines & husband Zack of Kingston; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sister, Cynthia Hastings & husband George of North Carolina; brother, Jimmy Lewis of Lebanon, TN.; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Earl Loved spending his time in his garage working on cars and building things with his hands.  He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.  He took pride in his tree work of 50 plus years.  Earl loved his family, he loved spending time with his grandbabies and spoiling them.  The one and only thing he loved more was God and knelt on his knees daily for 23 years.

The family would like to especially thank UT Hospice as well as Jennie Carter, NP at LaFollette Family Clinic & Pediatrics.

Graveside service will be Saturday, June 27th at 3:00 PM at Bakers Forge Cemetery with Bo Freeman officiating.
