Wlaf1450CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Joseph Elliot Scales, 25, of Caryville, was arrested on speeding, driving on a revoked license and drug charges June 22.
According to the arrest report, Caryville officer Tony Mahar witnessed Scales traveling East on highway 25, doing 64 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone. Mahar initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. After making contact with Scales, Officer Mahar learned he was driving on a suspended license and had three prior arrests for driving without a license. Scales also told police he had a bag of marijuana in his pocket. Officer Mahar recovered the marijuana and transported Scales to the Campbell County jail. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/23/2020-10AM)
