LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – It’s not BYOB (bring your own block).  It’s a Downtown Block Party, and you’re invited.

What was Crysta Watkins idea last year, Joey St. John is helping to become a reality this year.

Watkins said, “We are calling this event the Downtown Block Party, and we’ll have two food trucks set up: a dinner truck and dessert truck.  The dinner truck is The Little Taco from Jellico.  Our dessert truck is Sof-T-ee Serve Ice Cream of Knoxville.”

The Little Taco from Jellico will be on hand for the Downtown Block Party.

Music will be playing, and there’ll be plenty of seating.  In fact, Pyro Shows is making its parking lot available for the event.  Fun games for all ages will be available for the community.

The food trucks will be set-up to sell food by Freeman Park next to Common Ground Coffee Shop from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, June 26.  The address is 119 East Central Avenue with parking behind the park at Pyro Shows.

Common Ground is hosting the Downtown Block Party with support and volunteers from Hope and Stand Church.
